I am back again. Been busy with all those exams and courses and French and ofcourse art almost everyday!. So it is time to post some of my new artworks and the very first is a mixed media done on 11X15 Terraskin. I used watercolor and oil pastels and loved to work with it with oil pastels and the watercolors gave it a good base. Here is the sample:

At the start of a new week I always look back on what I did on my weekend. Well, though I had planned to paint, the work on my website took priority and took up most of my time. It is still under construction, atleast now I have made it worth visiting..However my weekend is not complete unless I touch the brush so there is an empty feeling within me which needs to be filled in the next couple of days..

I am a mountain lover. My friends say there is a mountain in my artwork most of the time. Well mountains are my inspiration and when I see the picture of a mountain, I get the artist's itch to touch my brush. So here are a couple done over the last week. Small art pieces.. the Yosemite valley done with acrylics on canvas board (5X7)and the snow capped one with oil pastels(4X6)I tried the oil pastel on canvas board this time.. an experience.

One of the New Year's resolutions was to upgrade my skills towards my dream job! Technical Writing. So here I am juggling with a French course, Java Programming and Technical Writing courses.That leaves me with almost little or no time. So I have not been able to upload the pictures of my recent artwork. That doesn't mean I don't draw or paint. I have to touch the brush on my canvas atleast once before my day ends. That leaves me with certain unfinished paintings as well which I plan to work on depending upon my mood for the day.
Coming back to watercolors, I am still fascinated by the various effects and surprises I get when I use this medium.

This one is a watercolor painting of my drapes as they were gently swaying in the breeze. Size is 9.5" by 6.3"

The poppy prints on them seem to be rushing to meet the sunlight and so I call it "Light Seekers"
